Alpha Data Retention — the short version

This is a plain-language agreement for the invite-only alpha test. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Full policies are drafted and with counsel; they will replace this page before AuraClout opens to the public.

While you test. Your account and profile data exist for as long as your account does.

Deletion on request. Email support@auraclout.com and we delete your account: profile content is unpublished immediately, and account data (email, credentials) is deleted from active systems within 30 days, subject to the exceptions below.

Deletion Exceptions. AuraClout may retain personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary to: comply with a legal obligation, subpoena, court order, or regulatory request; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; preserve relevant information under a legal hold; detect, prevent, investigate, or remediate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of the Terms; maintain security and system integrity; complete a transaction or provide a service reasonably expected within an ongoing relationship; maintain a suppression, opt-out, deletion, or audit record; or create information that has been irreversibly de-identified or aggregated and is no longer reasonably linkable to an individual.

AuraClout will delete information not covered by an exception. Information retained under an exception will not be used for unrelated purposes and will be deleted when the exception no longer applies.

Endorsements and Ratings. Following a verified deletion request, AuraClout will remove the user's public profile and endorsement content, subject to a limited integrity record retained to prevent fraud, re-posting, manipulation, or circumvention of platform rules, or to comply with law or preserve evidence. Where feasible, AuraClout will anonymize the endorsement and remove direct identifiers. Any retained record will be access-restricted, used only for the applicable exception, and deleted when no longer necessary.

Moderation and Complaint Records. AuraClout may retain reports, complaints, investigation notes, enforcement decisions, appeals, and related content identifiers for up to 24 months after case closure to administer moderation, address repeat abuse, protect users, respond to legal requests, and establish or defend claims. AuraClout may retain records longer if they are subject to a legal hold, active investigation, security incident, or legal obligation. Access will be limited to personnel and vendors with a need to know.

Backups and Disaster-Recovery Copies. Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted disaster-recovery backups until the applicable backup is overwritten or expires in the ordinary backup cycle. Backup copies will not be used for ordinary business purposes, disclosed, or restored except for disaster recovery, testing, or legal preservation. If a backup is restored, AuraClout will identify and reapply applicable deletion requests before returning the restored system to production.

Uploaded documents and photos. Documents and photos you upload to help build your profile (like a business card or resume) are stored privately unless you choose to publish them, are never shown to anyone else otherwise, and are deleted with your account. Location data is stripped from every uploaded photo. A data export you upload is treated differently, and more strictly: we read only the parts of it we told you we would read, keep only what you confirm onto your profile, and discard the file itself. We do not store the archive, and we never open or keep your connections or your messages.

Security logs. Login and verification logs are kept up to 90 days for abuse prevention, then deleted.

Alpha resets. This is a test: we may reset alpha data along the way. If we do, we'll tell you first.
